Why do you take a security deposit and how much is it?
A £250 refundable security deposit is taken on check in from every guest staying with us and can be given in cash or taken by card. This is to cover any breakages or damages which may occur in the apartment, also any breach of our terms and conditions. You can check our terms and conditions by clicking here. If you leave your deposit on a card the money is simply ‘held’ as a pre-authorisation; this is then released when you leave.
When is my deposit given back to me?
When you have departed, we check your apartment and release your money as long as there aren’t any signs of our terms and conditions being breached (such as, but not limited to, smoking in the apartment and/or damages). If you have left your money in cash, we put this back into a bank account which you specify at check-in. If you have left your deposit on a card we let the bank know that they are to release it.
Can we park our car with you?
We have secure underground parking which is charged at £10 per car per night. You can let us know before you get here or tell us when you arrive. You can park outside Reception while we check you in and then we can direct you to the appropriate car park.
Can I have breakfast?
Our apartments come with fully furnished kitchens but if you wanted to order breakfast through us you can do. It is a continental breakfast which is charged at £6.50 per person per night.
Where can I get my food shopping when I stay?
There is a big Tesco Supermarket ten minutes walk away. If you need only a few items there are plenty of local shops including a Spar which is five minutes away and a corner shop which is three minutes away.
What time is Reception open and what happens if I am arriving outside of these times?
Our Reception is open 8.00 until 22.00 Tuesday through to Thursday. Friday to Monday we have staff here 24hours. If you are arriving when Reception is closed you can let the staff know who will set up a safe for you, including apartment keys and all the relevant information to gain access to the buildings.
Who can I contact when Reception is closed?
During the nights when Reception is closed, our main phone line diverts to a staff member who is on call. You can also contact them by calling 07912514926. This number is for emergencies only and anything not deemed as an emergency will be charged at a £50 call-out rate.
Am I allowed guests?
The maximum occupancy for a one bed apartment is two people and for a two bed apartment is four people. If you want any other guests you have to get authorisation from management – to do this just send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with all the information and someone will contact you with a decision.
Will my apartment be cleaned during my stay?
For guests staying over seven nights, we will clean your apartment for you every week. If you are staying for less time than that we can do an extra clean for you at the price of £11.
I would like to stay for a longer period of time – do you offer any discount?
We can offer lower rates to long stay guests; for more information contact email@example.com.
I would like to stay regularly with you – would you offer rates for companies?
We have many corporate guests who stay regularly with us, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Also, take a look at our Corporate page (coming soon) on this website.
What time can I check in and what time do I have to leave?
Our check in time is from 4pm and check out is at 11am. Sometimes we can check you in earlier but we can’t make any promises as it depends how busy we are; and we are often very busy! The best thing to do is give us a call on the morning of your arrival and we will have a better idea of when we can get you checked in. You can always arrive earlier in the day and put your car in the car park if you need to.
Can I store luggage?
We can look after any luggage in Reception if you arrive before your apartment is ready, and when you leave we can store it again for the day if you need us to.
How do I gain access to the buildings?
When you check in at Reception we give you the access codes to the building and door keys for your apartment. These can be used 24hours throughout your stay so you can come and go as you please.
Can I bring my pet with me?
We do not allow any pets on our premises apart from guide dogs.
What is near to you?
We are very close to the NIA if you are coming to see something there. Brindley Place is also a five minute walk away where there are lots of great restaurants and places to have a drink. The main shopping area of Birmingham including The Bullring is about a 20minute walk away from us. We can always order you a taxi if you didn’t fancy walking anywhere.
Do you allow smoking in the apartments?
All of our buildings are non-smoking, however, if you wish to smoke you can request an apartment with a balcony. All of our balconies are subject to availability.
Do you charge for internet usage?
No! You can use our free Wi-Fi during your stay; the codes for which are given at check-in.
Who do I contact if I have a problem with the room?
If you have any problems during your stay either come down to Reception or give us a ring and we will try our best to help you. If there are any Maintenance issues, we have staff that can deal with these for you.
Can I cancel my booking? Will you charge me?
We have a 24hour cancellation policy at City Nites. If you cancel before this, we do not charge you. So if you are arriving on the Wednesday you need to let us know before 4pm on the Tuesday. If you do not give us enough notice we will have to charge you for the first night of your stay. If you have made your booking through a company other than City Nites you will need to let them know about the cancellation.

Do you offer rewards to regular guests?
We have a Loyalty scheme at City Nites. Please go to the Loyalty section of our website to see all of the information. You can get yourself a Loyalty Card, get a discount on your stays, collect points when you stay with us and use these points to get yourself rewards.
Do you have televisions?
Yes we have a television, Freeview box and DVD player in every apartment. We also have a selection of DVDs in Reception which can be borrowed during your stay.
Do you provide linen?
Yes, all linen and towels are provided in the rooms for you.
Do you provide toiletries?
Yes, shampoo and conditioner, hair and body wash and hand wash is provided.
