A spokesman for City Nites said: “We think we are one of the first companies in the Birmingham leisure sector to make headway into the film location market.
“Our apartments are perfect locations in films and television series because they are luxury apartments with city centre views.”

The spokesman added: “Our first deal was with JTL Productions who are filming the pilot of new comedy series Clampers in and around Birmingham so they have been using our facilities for a number of scenes. “It gives us great exposure and having actors and actresses around the place is great for our glamorous image.” She added: “The key to being successful in the leisure business is to diversify and broaden your customer base and City Nites entering into showbusiness is a perfect example of how this can work for everyone involved.”

Ryan Mulldoon from JTL Productions, which is producing Clampers, was delighted with the facilities at City Nites. He said: “One of the biggest headaches for any production company is finding great locations to film in and we were delighted to work with City Nites who were the perfect hosts. “The city centre location gave us so many options inside and outside and I am sure we will not be the last production company bringing a bit of stardust to City Nites.”

Clampers is a comedy written by ex-clamper Karl Holmes and depicts the work and lives of the clampers who cause mayhem across the West Midlands. Former Emmerdale hearthrob Lyndon Ogbourne, who played Nathan Wylde, is starring in the show as a wheeling and dealing clamper.
